We live in a time when the story of science is being rewritten—not by scientists, but by those who seek to discredit it. Funding is tightening, public trust is eroding, and expertise is under siege. As misinformation spreads with unprecedented speed and visibility, science is being recast as partisan rather than public service.

Effective science advocacy must do more than speak the truth. It must compete with louder, flashier, and often misleading narratives. That means intentionally empowering and emboldening those most well positioned to speak up for science—the scientists themselves.
